The late Baroque sandstone figure of St. John of Nepomuk has stood in the old Bogumińskie market square probably since 1829. John of Pomuk, venerated as St. John of Nepomuk, lived in the 14th century. He was the vicar general of the Archbishop of Prague, John of Jenštejn. Due to a dispute between the Bohemian King Wenceslas IV and John of Jenštejn, he fell out of favor. Tortured to death, he died on March 20, 1393. His martyrdom became the basis for the legend and cult of St. John of Nepomuk - a Catholic patriot - in the second half of the 17th century, during the re-Catholicization of the Czech lands. The old Bogumińskie figure was entered on the list of cultural monuments in 1964. In 2002, it underwent a thorough renovation. A tube containing a parchment scroll and old coins from the years 1619-1868 was found in its base. The coins enriched the numismatic collections of the Cieszyn Silesia Museum in Český Těšín. In the new base in 2002, modern Czech coins with a total value of 88.80 crowns were placed.

A baroque castle, built in 1682 on the foundations of a medieval fortress. The castle park is very well-kept and freely accessible, although there is a 5-star castle hotel in the castle. The preserved remains of the moat as well as the medieval bastions of the fortress bear witness to the original defensive character. It retained the baroque appearance from the end of the 17th century. Above the entrance is the family coat of arms of the Rothschilds. In the castle park, which is freely accessible, there are several models of castles. However, these are not labeled, so one does not know what these castles are called. Strange!

You can eat and drink well. On weekends, unfortunately, there may be a problem with free space (especially tables in the market square).
