The concept of the church, including the integration of the building into the surroundings according to the design by Christian Piotr Aigner, was accepted by Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski with a handwritten signature on 3 January 1800. Construction work lasted until 1803. The building was to be designated as the Czartoryski family mausoleum. After Poland regained independence in 1919, a parish was established here and the palace chapel became a church. During World War II, the portico and dome were destroyed, and rebuilt in 1945–1946. Further renovation work was carried out in 1973. The stairs leading to the church in the form of 10 terraces were replaced with 24 steps in the 1930s. In 2006, the flooring from 1803 was removed and replaced with a new one[4]. The church is located on Aignera Street.
