The Jan and Stanisław Cetnarski bench is located in Łańcut at Plac Sobieskiego. It presents the brothers who held the office of mayor of the city of Łańcut

It shows the figures of the brothers who held the office of mayor of the city of Łańcut, sitting on a bench. The monument was designed by sculptor Wrzesław Konrad Żurawski and implemented by architect Kazimierz Bester and sculptor Grzegorz Sacała.

In front of this small sacred monument in the form of a commemorative cross, I would like to offer the viewer a brief prayer composed by the Polish-born Holy Father Jan Pawel II in preparation for the great jubilee of the Holy Year 2000: "Jesus, only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth, light that illuminates every human being, grant fullness of life to all who seek you with a pure heart. To you, the Redeemer of mankind, the beginning and end of time and the universe, to the Father, the inexhaustible source of all good, and to the Holy Spirit, the seal of infinite love, be honor and glory forever and ever. The synagogue was built in 1761 on the site of an older wooden one. During World War II, the synagogue was set on fire by German occupiers and extinguished after the personal intervention of Alfred Potocki.

The Jewish communities, whose synagogues were largely destroyed during the Nazi regime and which were often wiped out by the Shoah (Holocaust), were honored in May 2024 - especially in these difficult times for them with a rapidly growing, openly expressed anti-Semitism - by awarding the "International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen" to Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt and the Jewish communities in Europe. "With this award, the Charlemagne Prize Board wants to send a signal that Jewish life is a natural part of Europe and that there must be no place for anti-Semitism in Europe. Jewish life is an important part of European history and present - now and in the future. (...) Together with the President of the Conference of European Rabbis, Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, and the Jewish communities in Europe, the Board of Directors ... in 2024 honors the outstanding representative of European Jewry and Jewish life in Europe, which has enriched our continent for centuries and will and must always have its place here."
