They offer Italian and traditional (scooped) ice cream of their own production from the Strzyżów plant. In addition, granita and shakes. There are no waffles here. Today we searched for them in vain in various places in Zagórze and did not find them. If during the summer season and opening hours the ice cream parlor is closed, it may mean that the saleswoman has briefly gone to the nearby shop. WW

The Confederates' fight for our homeland's independence – the first Polish uprising against the partitioning powers – lasted four years, and the last battle, fought three months after the first partition of Poland, took place on November 29, 1772, in the fields surrounding Zagórz, still known today as "Pułaski's Trenches." The monument stands in front of the Zagórz train station. It commemorates the numerous visits of the future Pope – John Paul II to Zagórz. During the communist era (1944-1989), rail transport was the basis of passenger traffic in Poland and Zagórz was the final station for long-distance trains from Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice. Most trains went through Jasło, Krosno and Sanok, but there was also a train going from Przemyśl on a short extraterritorial section (through the USSR) to Krościenko and then through Ustrzyki Dolne, i.e. it reached Zagórz from the east. A small confectionery and ice cream parlor is an additional point of sale of the PIERZ confectionery located on Podgórze Street. Among the various cakes, I can recommend the traditional cream cake, current price PLN 4.80. There is very little space inside, but two chairs and a table have been arranged, and outside there is an openwork gazebo with chairs and a table. The location is very advantageous - by the promenade, which tourists and cyclists use from the Sanok castle and the Market Square towards the parish church or the bench of the soldier Švejk. The confectionery is open in the summer season: Mon - Fri 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sat 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sun 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. WW

Kąty Peak (another name for the Mountain) with a height of 525 m above sea level. is a little-known peak from the Crown of the Sanok Land. You can reach it via a short route from the village of Poraż. There are many viewing glades along the route from which we can admire the panorama of the Bieszczady Mountains.
