1589 - the first mention of the settlement of Riffe. The Cistercian abbot, Dawid Konarski, allows the construction of fishing sheds, which were to serve as temporary homes for fishermen during fishing; 1648 - Abbot Aleksander Kęsowski grants the settlement privilege to the fishermen of Rewia for a perpetual lease in exchange for an agreed tribute; 1772 - the settlement belonging to the monastery in Oliwa takes the name of Rewa. It is inhabited by 14 fishermen and this number is growing every year; 1880 - Rewa has 500 inhabitants. Becomes a port for seagoing ships. Trade and cargo shipping are developing.
