Forgot to mention........if you attract insect bites make sure you apply bug repellent. I picked up bites on my arms, hands, neck and face on this section of the walk. Schoolboy error π

The Old Fisherman's Path was under water in several locations which caused diversions and detours from the original route. These photo's show extensive flooding at one of those locations. Onephoto was taken from the, by now, well trodden alternative route that takes you around and above the flooded area.

A lovely tranquil spot. The only bench at this pond. I sat here for 45 minutes for a coffee break and a rest at lunchtime on the first Saturday in June and only one couple passed by. Beautiful.
