The oak avenue running northwest (which, by the way, is lined with more than just oak trees) is part of the St. Bernard's Path, a pilgrimage route commemorating St. Bernard of Clairvaux and his spiritual legacy, and which also leads to the deaconess cemetery of Lehnin Monastery, which is well worth seeing.

What's especially beautiful: When the lilacs bloom, the entire slope in front of it is a sea of purple. And it smells wonderful, even as you speed past on your bike.

The cloister is the heart of the monastery. Here you can find peace and a shady spot. In the past, many of the utility rooms converged here. Today, it is still looked after and cared for for the occasional music event and small gatherings.

It is worth taking a detour to the north to the Klostersee. The path is paved and ideal for wheelchair and walker users. At the end of the path you reach a jetty that is often used for fishing or swimming. From here you can see the lido, the rowing and sailing club and the Institute for Arts and Crafts.
