Dock Lake is one of the nine lakes in Chain O'Lakes State Park. It is one of the most picturesque of the lakes in the park. One of the paved road runs right up to the banks of the lake and has a small boat launch.

In 1915, the first school house in the area was built in this spot. It was named after a local landowner, Henry Stanley. Now, there is a marker and the original schoolhouse bell on the spot where the building used to stand.
