In fact, you are walking along the banks of the Großache. The almost 80 km long river has several names on its way to Lake Chiemsee. Above Kitzbühel it is the Jochberger Ache, from Kitzbühel to St. Johann in Tirol the Kitzbüheler Ache, in the middle course the river Großache and from the valley near Erpfendorf also called Kössener Ache. However: along the water it is wonderfully relaxing through the beautiful landscape.

The parish church was consecrated in 1485. In its current form, however, it has only been in the center of Jochberg since the middle of the 18th century. Its patron is St. Wolfgang of Regensburg, patron saint of miners. The church and the cemetery are listed buildings.
