Starting in the town center, head east along the railway line to the underpass, turn right and cross the Trattnach, cross the B137 towards Dingbach. In front of the former Wirt's Dingbach, turn right towards Schlüßlberg Castle and from there up to Wintersberg. On the ridge, the route continues via Oberschaffenberg until just before Trattenegg, where it turns right and runs via Schaffenberg and Au back to the sports field and into the center.
