PARISH ZELL AM PETTENFIRST Pilgrimage church in Zell am Pettenfirst, Roman Catholic rectory. The church was completed in 1497 in the Gothic style. It still contains 3 Gothic figures on the high altar and 4 panel paintings from the Gothic winged altar that once decorated the church. The existing baroque high altar, the pulpit and some other figures are the work of the well-known artist Thomas Schwanthaler. In 2014 the church received a new bell with 4 bronze bells from the Grassmayr bell foundry in Innsbruck. Opening hours: The church is open from 7:00 a.m. until around dusk. Worship services on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. Sundays and public holidays: 8:30 a.m. Guided tours by appointment (Ms. Christine Thalhammer 0699/81919652)

Industrial monument from the time of coal mining here in the region. The many information boards and equipment that you can still look at are very exciting.

The parish church of Zell am Pettenfirst is architecturally interesting. It is a late Gothic three-aisled hall church.

The crusher Buchleiten is an important witness of the mining time in the house pressure. It has been developed into a cultural center and offers running art exhibitions, events, seating stones to linger, a well plant a labyrinth of hearts and - what impressed us - a Celtic circle of trees. A wonderful place to stay, even if it's not open! For sightseeing you have to register at the municipal office. bergfex.at/sommer/ampflwang/highlights/7686-industie-kultur-park-kohlebrecher-ampflwang
