The late Gothic church was built in the second half of the 15th century and is attributed to the master builder Stephan Wultinger from Vöcklamarkt. The rectangular church interior was originally designed as a two-aisled hall church with a pillar. Major renovation and expansion work was carried out between 1931 and 1933. In 1931, the pillar was removed for liturgical reasons and the vault was added in a Gothic style.
