This chapel, with the clearly visible antlers above the entrance arch, already indicates from the outside that it is dedicated to Saint HUBERTUS. He lived from 655 to 727 and is a very popular saint, known primarily as the patron saint of hunters. A stag with a luminous cross between its antlers is said to have appeared to him, which is often depicted in portraits of Hubertus. This legend was originally attributed to Saint Eustace and, over time, 'migrated' to Hubertus. His feast day in the calendar of saints is on November 3rd.
