Easy hikes and walks around Norderwöhrden

At the Possel Dam, near the northern sea lock of the old Wöhrden harbour, two freely usable beach chairs have been set up as a place to rest directly above the lock. With the beautiful view over the Wöhrden harbour stream towards the North Sea dike, one must be careful not to get lost in thought for too long and possibly come home too late… 😉 At the lock, there are two apple trees, which you can safely help yourself to for provisions at the right time of year.

It was built in 1519 as a windowless warehouse made of oak framework with a thatched roof and was mainly used to store grain, especially seeds.
