First mentioned as a castle at the end of the 12th century, Penkun Castle is today one of the last remaining castles of the Pomeranian Dukes. The castle association runs a border and customs museum in the former administrator's house, and there is a small exhibition on the judicial system in Pomerania in the castle cellar.

Very pretty to look at but unfortunately inaccessible behind a fence.

The climb is indeed steep and long. A child would not be able to handle it.

A bathing beach at the Schlosssee in Penkun. Unfortunately, the sandy beach is now overgrown with grass and weeds. There is also a small beach volleyball court.

The church was built at the end of the 13th century as a hall church, a building without towers with a rectangular floor plan, made of boulders and bricks. The interior was originally covered with a wooden ceiling. It was converted in the 17th century, and at that time a wooden bell tower was added to the west façade, where two bells were installed in 1613 and 1617. After the Second World War, the church fell into disrepair.
