Built in 1786 in the Baroque style, the history of the site on which the building stands, however, reaches back further. The "old water castle", the first seat of the Counts of Berka, is said to have been located here. The Edelhof was very popular with wealthy spa guests, and Goethe and his wife Christiane also spent a six-week spa stay on the estate in 1814. Since 1861, it was finally the seat of forestry – today the Bad Berka forestry office. https://www.bad-berka.de/tourismus/sehenswertes/edelhof/

After the Second World War, the house belonged to the Volksheilbad, and since 1994 it has belonged to the town of Bad Berka again. Today, the Coudray House houses a museum with an interactive permanent exhibition, redesigned in 2014, on the development of spa and health care in Bad Berka.https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Berka

It's quite an unusual bridge. Neither side is favored (red arrow), so look carefully before driving onto it.

Great wooden bridge 🤩. But be careful, it's still busy in places.
