Everything used to be about iron production here: raw iron was still produced here until 1953. When the smelter was closed, time stood still here. Everything looks exactly as it did back then. Even the huge water wheel still works and you can see the best preserved charcoal blast furnace in Sweden. By the way, there are great mountain bike trails all around!
