The four smaller ski jumps had to be demolished in 1987 due to road construction. A K 6, K 15, K 25 and later the K 36 were built in Ounasvaara as replacements. The Continental Cup has been hosted on the ski jump since 2004. The Nordic Junior World Ski Championships were held in 2005.

Over a few very steep wooden steps (very slippery in winter!) you can reach the viewpoint, from which you get a very nice view down to Rovaniemi. Above all, the sunset is recommended. 🥰
