The last in a series of mile markers running from Great St Maryโ€™s Church in Cambridge to Barkway, 16 miles away. These were erected in the 1730s, the first milestone series erected in England since the departure of the Romans. Most are still visible between Cambridge and Barkway if you know where to look.
