This is the Barnby Chapel which in 2023 had a major refurbishment from derelict building to cafe and gallery space by the new owners. A real gem of a place and if like me your interests are coffee and art you won't be disappointed when stopping here. Great coffee, cakes and savoury snacks with some light lunch options too, all fairly priced. There's plenty of seating inside and out, cycle racks and a water station for those of you bringing along a four legged friend. 5 Stars on the "Reuse of building O'Meter!"

Nicolas Everitt Park is a popular public park situated along the shores of Oulton Broad, a large body of water that forms part of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. Oulton Broad is known for its boating and watersports activities, and Nicolas Everitt Park is an excellent starting point for boaters to explore the surrounding waterways. You can enjoy picnics in the park's open green spaces while overlooking the scenic views of Oulton Broad. There's also a cafe in the middle of the park.

It's worth dropping in to see the original wall paintings that were all restored in the 1990's if you interested in that sort of thing

The Swan Inn is a pub-turned-restaurant in the lovely village of Barnby on the edge of Castle Marshes. It’s a great place to stop for lunch while walking in the area and they specialise in seafood dishes. They also have a garden and patio area, for outside dining. If you’re really pushing the boat out, you can book in for an afternoon tea.
