The view towards Painswick and the edge of the scarp from the top of Sheepscombe Common is spectacular and well worth stopping to take a look at. Sheepscombe common is an example of unimproved grassland and supports many rare species of plant such as several species of orchids. The top of the common is perfect for a snack stop with a couple of benches to sit on.
