Currently, the palace, the formerly multi-story main building of a medieval castle, is being covered with a new transparent roof structure. A fantastic and very impressive construction.

The only Ricola store in Switzerland

The Ricola Shop is located right next to the Untertor (Lower Gate) or Baslertor. It's the only one of its kind in Switzerland and, in addition to countless varieties of Ricola herbal drops, houses many that you'll see here for the first time. The shop is spread over two wheelchair-accessible floors, where visitors are also provided with a wealth of information about production, the variety of herbs, and the history of Ricola. A special gimmick for kids are the round glass containers filled with herbs, which you can sniff using a hand pump. What kind of herb smells like that? Ricola-related souvenirs are also sold on the ground floor. The staff is incredibly friendly. Upon entering the shop, every guest is greeted by an invisible voice calling out "Riiicola!"
