Excellent highway riding. Very low traffic volume. Fun and pretty and varied landscape to look at. Great ride. Wide paved shoulder along the entire length (which might also be the case south of Notre-Dame-du-Laus, but I haven't ridden there yet), with almost always great asphalt. In a few limited sections, there are a few cracks in the road surface, but nothing major. Highly recommended.

A segment of Le P'tit Train du Nord bike trail between Nominingue (at km 146) <> Mont-Laurier (at km 201, the end). Highlight includes mandatory detours as of August 2024. As far as I can tell, there are no water fountains along this segment of the trail (but there are in both Nominingue and Mont-Laurier), though there are several obvious options to take fresh water from streams and lakes for filtering. Also a few depanneurs and such not far from the trail. The asphalt in this segment in very decent shape and nature is great and varied.
