<< Kalscheurer Weiher >> "The pond with a water surface of around 5.6 hectares is located near the military ring west of Brühler Strasse. Along with the Adenauer and Decksteiner Weiher, it is one of three artificially created lakes in the Outer Green Belt. White mute swans, coots and cormorants have their sleeping and nesting places around the water. However, birds that sit and breed on the small island in the pond must not be disturbed because the pond is located in a landscape conservation area (L 11 "Outer Green Belt Müngersdorf to Marienburg and connecting green areas"). The rectangular water basin, which ends in steps in the east, was designed by the landscape architect Theodor Nussbaum (1885 to 1956). In summer, visitors can go pedal boating on the lake. Thanks to the "Our Kalscheurer Weiher" association, which was founded as a citizens' initiative, a demolished kiosk with toilets was rebuilt. Benches under old trees or small groups of trees are set up on the adjacent meadows, inviting you to take a rest. Lots of people come here, especially on weekends and when the weather is nice, some especially for what is supposedly the most beautiful sunset in all of Cologne. When you take a walk along the Kalscheurer Weiher, you can always find a place to relax, as it is never crowded here." https://www.stadt-koeln.de/leben-in-koeln/freizeit-natur-sport/parks/kalscheurer-weiher?cnw_autotranslate=he

After the death of the carnivalist Hans Süper, the HANS-SÜPER Society was founded, which had this beautiful memorial to the founder of the Colonia Duett erected. The approximately 1m tall bronze statue can be found at Berrenrather Str. 313-315 in Cologne. He was known far beyond the borders of Cologne for his "Flitsch" with which he was hit so beautifully here.
