July 18, 2026, Bendigo Bushland Trail (Lookout Loop track)

The Lookout Loop Track is an easy way to experience Greater Bendigo National Park beyond the views from One Tree Hill. Starting at the base of the lookout tower, the 3-kilometre circuit winds through Box–Ironbark forest, where Red Ironbark and Yellow Gum dominate the landscape. It's a peaceful introduction to one of Victoria's most distinctive woodland ecosystems before returning to the summit.

Greater Bendigo National Park protects one of Victoria's largest remaining Box–Ironbark forests, an ecosystem that once covered much of central Victoria but is now increasingly rare. The park comes alive in spring with colourful wattles, orchids and native wildflowers, while more than 170 bird species have been recorded among its woodlands. It's a rewarding place to experience both the natural and cultural heritage of Dja Dja Wurrung Country.
