The Miles Lane Trail is a walking and running trail around Bucksport High School and into the local woods. This trail system is also used by teachers from Miles Lane and Bucksport Middle Schools to provide real-life education experiences for students. The trail has different loops; all trails add up to about 3 miles of trail.

The Penobscot Narrows Bridge was built in 2006 to replace the Waldo-Hancock Bridge. It is 2,120 feet long and is a cable-stayed bridge. The bridge takes Highway 1 over the Penobscot River and links Verona Island to Prospect, in the U.S. state of Maine.
