I was impressed by the beauty of this small lake, nestled behind the hills just north of Kingussie. The gravel path north of the lake is smooth and easy to ride on a gravel bike. During the Grinduro event in 2025, there was a speed-measuring track here, but I stopped regularly to enjoy the beautiful view.

The road has recently been resurfaced (Aug ‘24) and still has lots of loose chippings so not ideal right now. Will hopefully bed in after a few months.

A good point to stop and enjoy the view. From here there are several paths to choose from including up to the hill summit nearby. Easy to walk to here from the golf course.

The state of the loch will tell you what to expect once you've climbed back out to the west of Lochindorb. Remember white horses mean 20mph or more!
