The Errwood Circular route offers panoramic views during the 7.2 km walk, which should take around 2 hours. It's advised to wear walking shoes or boots, especially after rain, as the narrow path on the far side can get muddy.

Brilliant place to visit and easy to walk to from Errwood Hall Car Park - Buxton SK11 0AR. Great little work with a doggo by your side, especially when the ice cream van is around which also sells doggo ice cream for £2.50 a tub!! Treat for the furry friend :)

A nice ride down but be careful. It is narrow and usually lots of cars heading back up. The bottom section is very rough with major potholes. Many punctures on that section.

Yes, several do. Ladybower Reservoir is famous for the submerged villages of Ashopton and Derwent, which occasionally resurface during dry periods. Interestingly, the bells in Chelmorton's St. John the Baptist church actually came from the church at Derwent, which was flooded to form the Ladybower reservoir in the 1950s. Heathcote Mere also has historical ties, having supplied the village with water and served as a watering stop for packhorse trains.
The lakes and reservoirs are beautiful year-round. Spring and summer offer lush greenery and warmer weather ideal for walking and cycling. Autumn brings stunning foliage, while winter can provide dramatic, serene landscapes, though some paths might be muddy, especially around Combs Reservoir. Always check local weather conditions before your visit.
Yes, Foolow Village is a gorgeous little settlement featuring a duck pond, an ancient stone cross, and a very lovely pub, making it a great place to stop and refuel during your explorations.
