There is a lot of wildlife in and around the pond, and it's worth the trek to get back to it. The trail leading to the pond can be hard to follow at times, so make sure to follow the white blazes and have your map with you.

There are also multiple coastline views from the trail that spends a fair bit of time with tree cover in the forest.
