You can reach Macoch from two sides, go up to the parking lot and walk about 1 km, or go down to the parking lot, walk about 2 km and take the cable car up. The second option is a bigger experience, we didn't wait in line anywhere, the walk to the cable car was pleasant and you got moving. You usually start in Útěchov at the public transport terminal and take the street to the lowest point of the village to the pond and from there follow Gangloff's path to its end to the railway bridge. Here, on the right, take the modified road, under which the I. Březovský waterworks passes, along the Svitava river to Bílovice. This physically easy walk is less than 6 km long.

Here on the overhanging rock face, since 1929, there has been a commemorative plaque of the prominent forester and inventor Karel Daniel Gangloff (1809-1879), after whom the path here got its name. The final part of the route passes through the Malužín nature reserve.
