Engel Fishery at Fort Gorgast

Right at the Ford Gorgast the two, dear angels, manage the moat and the land next to it. With much diligence, experience and love, fish and agriculture are still practiced here according to an old tradition. The highlight of the Engel'n is then always the delicious, delicious food.

The dyke trail can be easily negotiated on this section by bike.
In addition to white-tailed eagle, crane, various seagulls and ducks, swans and ... you can also see brooding waterfowl in the branched water area.
On the other hand, sometimes a deer, fox or wild boar appears in sight.

Beyond the Horizon

The Zechin outdoor pool is one such place, where village community and summer fun meet. Behind the gate with its hand-painted lettering are a lawn, a kiosk, Wi-Fi, and a natural swimming pond that could hardly be more reminiscent of childhood memories. Clouds drift across the sky, the water sparkles, and somewhere an ice cream truck song blares. Brandenburg at its best.

The outdoor pool is located directly on the L 33 and is the only naturally-fed outdoor pool in the Oderbruch. The pool is equipped with four 50 m lanes, a diving board and a water slide. Moorings, beach chairs, catering and toilet facilities are part of the complex. The area is ideal for school trips as well as tent and camping enthusiasts, as the Oderbruchcamp is located next to the outdoor pool. The outdoor pool season normally lasts from May 1st to September 30th. The entrance fee of €2.00 (children aged 0 to 17 pay €1.00) is, in my opinion, moderate.

Very nice and quiet campsite with direct access to the small natural outdoor pool next door (including snack bar), not far from the Oder-Neisse cycle path. The little detour is definitely worth it! ;-)
