A lovely holiday village with various houses awaits you here. The grounds are very well-maintained and spotlessly clean. Almost every house has a sandbox, a slide, and two swings. Barbecue facilities and a canoe are also available. Each house has a jetty providing quick access to the water. Next to the holiday village, there's a campsite and a campervan site. Beautiful hiking and cycling trails are also nearby. The washroom facilities are highly recommended and very spacious – I give them 5 stars! They are very clean and well-maintained. A small general store and ample parking are also on-site. Just a short walk over the dike takes you to the Elbe River. You can fly kites, watch the ships go by, or simply relax in a beach chair or on the grass. For those who don't feel like cooking, there are snack bars and good restaurants available. A large playground is also provided.

The 17 km long "Rund üm dat Ahlenmoor" leads around the two connected lakes Halemer and Dahlemer See and is extremely varied. Along the way, two lookout towers and a birdwatching hide offer direct lake access and sweeping views across the water. In addition, the path leads through the diverse moor landscape, from the near-natural high moor, past rewetted peat extraction areas full of life, downy birch forests and through moor meadows used for agriculture. You also touch the Geestrand, where an abandoned sandpit is recovering from use and offers a habitat for many amphibians and insects again.
