Actually this place is called "Bai Slavi". You can have launch or just drink a beer with nice view to Bezbog peak and the lake. Wonderful place in the mountain. Beautiful tracks to Bezbog peak and Popovo lake. In the winter there are vouchers for 4 days so you can relax and enjoy the nature. You can rent snowshoes and other equipment here.

The tea room, grill snack bar and soup kitchen named Bai Slave (Бай Славе) is located only a few meters from the Bezbog refuge, very picturesque on the mountain lake. (Https://www.komoot.de/highlight/535843?ref=ihd) The bar was closed at the end of October 2018, but the Bezbog refuge offered basic food and lodging. She is also represented on FB: https://m.facebook.com/baislave/?locale2=de_DE

Several huts in Pirin National Park offer good accessibility. Vihren Hut is one of the most easily reached, as it is accessible by car, though seasonal road closures may apply. Gotse Delchev Hut also allows car access from the town of Gotse Delchev.
While specific 'family-friendly' categories aren't listed, huts with good facilities and easier access can be suitable. Vihren Hut, with its comprehensive facilities and car accessibility, could be a good option for families. Hut Begovitsa (Formerly Kamenitsa) also has a larger capacity and amenities that might suit groups.
Facilities vary by hut. Many offer basic accommodations with beds, shared bathrooms, and heating, often by wood-burning stoves. Some, like Vihren Hut, provide a tourist kitchen, dining hall, and buffet. Others, such as Spano Pole Shelter, are praised for delicious food and even hot water showers in separate buildings. Remote huts like Sinanitsa Hut have more basic amenities with outside toilets and drinking water.
Vihren Hut is a primary gateway for ascents to Vihren Peak, the highest peak in Pirin, and other trails like Kazanite. Hut Begovitsa (Formerly Kamenitsa) is an excellent starting point for hikes to Mount Kamenitsa and Tevno Ezero lake. For those seeking a challenging hike to Sinanitsa Peak, Sinanitsa Hut is an ideal base.
Yes, for a more secluded experience, consider Sinanitsa Hut. Situated at 2,190 meters and not accessible by car, it's typically reached by pack animals, resulting in fewer tourists and a more tranquil environment. It's located on the edge of a beautiful alpine lake, offering stunning natural beauty.
The huts serve as excellent bases for various outdoor activities. You can embark on numerous hiking trails, from easy strolls to difficult ascents. For example, there are many waterfall hikes and easy hikes available. The region also offers road cycling routes, with options ranging from moderate to difficult. Many huts are starting points for ascents to major peaks and glacial lakes.
The main hiking season in Pirin typically runs from late spring to early autumn (June to September), when the weather is most stable and trails are clear of snow. During this period, huts are fully operational and offer food and drink. Winter access to some huts may be limited, and specific road closures to places like Vihren Hut can occur during peak summer months.
Most huts offer food and drink, especially during the main season. Vihren Hut has a buffet, while Spano Pole Shelter is known for its delicious food. Demyanitsa Hut features a restaurant. Even more remote huts like Sinanitsa Hut provide food and drink during the season, though some may only offer basic provisions.
For stunning lakeside views, Sinanitsa Hut is situated on the edge of a beautiful alpine lake, providing a picturesque setting. Bezbog Hut, also known as Bai Slavi Hut at Bezbog Lake, sits directly on the banks of Bezbog Lake, offering appealing high-mountain comfort with scenic surroundings.
While Pirin is known for rugged terrain, some huts offer easier access or serve as starting points for less strenuous routes. Huts accessible by car, such as Vihren Hut or Gotse Delchev Hut, can be good for beginners who want to experience the mountain environment without extensive hiking. From these, you can find easy hikes in the surrounding areas.
Spano Pole Shelter is highly praised by visitors for its cozy and clean accommodations. It offers basic amenities, including a hot water shower in a separate building, and is particularly noted for its delicious food, making it a comfortable and welcoming stop in a picturesque high-mountain setting.
Demyanitsa Hut is notable for its self-sufficiency, generating its own power from a hydroelectric generator. Located at 1,895 meters at the confluence of three rivers, it offers a substantial capacity of 217 beds in the main building and additional bungalows, along with a restaurant and kitchen, making it a valuable stop for hikers exploring the central parts of Pirin.
Parking availability varies. Huts like Vihren Hut and Gotse Delchev Hut are accessible by car and typically have parking facilities, though seasonal restrictions or closures may apply. Hut Begovitsa (Formerly Kamenitsa) also features a parking lot. For more remote huts, parking might be further away, requiring a hike to reach the hut.
