Stikkvannshytta Cabin, or as it is commonly referred to as 'Stikkvann Cabin', is a very popular outdoor hub for outdoor enthusiasts. It is set on the shores of Stikkvannet Lake in the Hurum forest in rather idyllic, scenic surroundings. It doesn't matter what your sport is, hiking, jogging, or winter skiing; the hut makes for a good rest stop for food or for a swim in the lake during summer months.

From the shelter, which is beautifully situated on the lake, you can take a short but interesting walk over wooden stairs, wooden walkways and steep forest paths along the lake and rocks.

Beautiful, somewhat hidden shelter with a fireplace and toilet block. The lake is clean and is used by canoeists for training. You can safely spend the night here. The only drawback: at night you can hear the highway rushing on the other side of the lake.

Shelter with fire pit. It is possible to swim in the lake. During the day some noise from the highway on the opposite side of the lake (depending from the wind direction). Some rowers on the lake :)

wish I'd seen this tip before I cycled .... I travelled north to south and can confirm that cycle route 7 is generally not particularly nice to travel because of the heavy traffic.

Cycle road 7 between Moss and Vestby is not very nice and mostly follows roads with heavy traffic. A better alternative is following a (Komoot) route from (south to north direction) Moss center - Son center - Vestby church. Or simply follow the gravel road along the train tracks from Sonsveien station.
