I came by here again in 2023 and the rest hut has been newly built and is no longer as dirty and grimy as the previous "hut". Now it's worth taking a break here even in bad weather, among other things. There is also a stove in the hut.

We started from Ramundberget and hiked to the Fältjägaren cabin. The initial stretch at Ramundberget is quite steep, so take it slow to conserve your energy. It’s an 18 km one-way hike, mostly through high and flat terrain. Along the way, there are plenty of fresh water streams where you can refill your bottle. The cabin itself is very nice, with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. There are also nearby lakes with great fishing—just remember to purchase a fishing permit in advance. The views along this hike are simply amazing! I can highly recommend this hike!

An atmospheric shelter/rest hut. In good weather, take advantage of the outdoor benches around a fireplace. Next to the hut a small stream flows providing a water source. There is also an emergency telephone in the hut.

Very cozy shelter with stove and emergency equipment. No toilet, there is water from a stream a few hundred meters down the Kungsleden.
