The park is located in the city center. It covers an area of 3.4 ha. To the east, its boundaries are marked by the Młynkówka stream and a narrow strip of buildings and Garncarska street. To the north, the border is formed by Krakowska street, to the west by Rynek street and the urban market square buildings. To the south, the park borders the buildings of the parish church of St. Maciej. The park was established on the grounds of a former palace park. Since 2004, the park has been successively restored as part of the City Center Revitalization Project. The first works involved the renovation and paving of the park alleys. In subsequent years, following an inventory of the tree population, works related to the felling of diseased trees, planting new ones, and carrying out maintenance treatments are performed. The City Development Strategy for 2006-2013 describes in detail the planned works and their funding sources (partly from own funds and largely from EU funds). In the eastern part of the park, there is a large pond with a circular island. As part of the revitalization works, it was cleaned, old, damaged, and diseased specimens were removed from its banks, new trees and shrubs were planted, and various species of waterfowl were introduced. Fauna specimens can be admired from numerous benches located in the alleys around the pond and from two viewing platforms – a new wooden one located on the southwestern bank of the pond and the remnants of a kayak marina in the eastern part. South of the pond, separated by a strip of alleys and greenery, there is a new playground. It consists of many certified, wooden elements of small recreational architecture for children (slides, sandbox, swings, ladders, climbing wall, “spider web”, fitness set, “gazebo”). In the northwestern part of the park are the buildings of the 19th-century neoclassical palace with a coach house. In the western part of the park, next to the right wing of the palace, there is a fountain. The park's infrastructure is complemented by flowerbeds (located, among others, in front of the palace and by the fountain) and wooden sculptures (located in the passage between the palace and the buildings of the parish church). On the northwestern bank of the pond, there is the "Oaza" cafe. In the buildings of the former coach house, standing freely in line with the left wing of the palace, there is the "Pod Platanem" cafe.

A climb with very good asphalt. A quick descent, but at the end you have to watch out for a sharp turn with tracks.

The dam is a modern hydrotechnical structure. It was officially put into operation on July 26, 2017. It's been over 30 years since the first work started in 1986. Paradoxically, such a long investment implementation time had a positive impact on the final result. In terms of construction, it is an earth dam. The height of the dam is 54 m and its length is 604 m. On the water side, the dam body is secured with concrete slabs. The building complex also includes a hydroelectric power plant generating 4.4 MW of electricity. The dam is open to visitors during the holiday season until October 2 (on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

The last few hundred meters include a steep climb on a narrow road - asphalt, but of poor quality. Lots of car traffic. Be careful.
