I'd love to have had time to read the news article posted by this bridge, but I was hiking in the summer and as soon as you stop you are dinner for the mosquitos.

Spring forms a series of small waterfalls heading down to the river. Very nice sound.

This was why I came to hike here, great views of the river and huge cliffs on the other side of the river

A small but nice parking long at the start of the main trail, with picnic tables, porta-potty, etc.

You have to walk them down to the lake from the lower parking lot, but it at least gives you a way to access it

Willow Creek Reservoir is beautifully surrounded by forest and lies in the very south of Rochester. The horseshoe shaped reservoir is especially popular among anglers but is a great spot to soak in nature for everybody else as well.
