Along the Cantonale road that goes from Monte Ceneri towards Lake Lugano, you encounter the notable Romanesque church of San Mamete. It dates back to the 11th century, with an elegant bell tower from the 12th-13th century. Inside, the choir is frescoed with 16th-century frescoes, in a very medieval style. The external portal and the stone enclosure are beautiful. Access is gained by leaving the Cantonale road and briefly ascending via San Mamete.
