I went back today and this bike park has been modified again since my last visit. There are two parts and the lower part includes really big jumps! There is something fun for the little that we like Gravity :-)

Yes, Bike Park Parc des Sources, located in a corner of the Parc des Sources, has been modified to include really big jumps in its lower part, offering technical passages for riders who enjoy gravity-oriented challenges.
The Sonian Forest (Forêt de Soignes) offers an extensive network of natural trails for mountain bikers. While not a dedicated 'bike park' with constructed features, it provides diverse trails from easy paths to more challenging terrains, including thematic cycling and MTB trails like the MTB Hoeilaart Blue Tour (26 km) and MTB Tervuren Red Tour (18 km).
Chemin des Tempêtes (Stormenweg) MTB Trail is an MTB park featuring a fun, twisty segment that is not too technical and can even be ridden on a gravel bike, making it an easy but enjoyable track for riders. The BXL Pump Park also caters to beginners on its asphalt pump track.
The BXL Pump Park is very family-friendly, offering a dedicated dirt track with skills features made from recycled materials specifically for younger riders. It also provides free BMX and helmet rentals on weekends and organizes stages during school holidays, fostering a community atmosphere.
Brussels offers a mix of terrains. You'll find smooth asphalt pump tracks at urban facilities like BXL Pump Park, natural forest paths with technical sections such as Hendrickxdreef Forest Path, and extensive natural singletracks within the Sonian Forest.
Beyond bike parks, Brussels offers a variety of outdoor activities. You can explore numerous running trails, including the Brussels Nature Run & Walk, or enjoy road cycling routes like the Brussels - Brabant Forests Loop. The Sonian Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site for parts of its ancient forest, is renowned for its ancient beech trees, some over 200 years old, and areas like the 'Beech Cathedral.' Scenic Singletrack Trail also offers a nice bucolic singletrack experience amidst nature.
The BXL Pump Park is known for its central location and accessibility within the city. For parks like Bike Park Parc des Sources, being within a larger park often implies reasonable access. The Sonian Forest is on the outskirts of Brussels but is generally well-connected, though specific parking or public transport options may vary by entry point.
The best times to visit the natural trails, especially in the Sonian Forest, are during spring and fall for mild temperatures and picturesque scenery. During these seasons, the forest's ancient beech trees are particularly beautiful. Be aware that some trails, like the Scenic Singletrack Trail, can get muddy in winter.
Bike Park Parc des Sources provides a good mix, situated within the larger Parc des Sources, offering a natural setting with bucolic singletrack experiences, alongside constructed features like big jumps and technical passages.
The Sonian Forest is unique for its vastness and ecological significance. It's not a traditional bike park but offers approximately 71 kilometers of diverse trails, from easy to difficult, amidst ancient beech trees. It's a multi-use area, so cyclists share paths with hikers, providing an immersive natural escape in a historic setting.
