The half-timbered house with its elaborately designed gable end was immortalized on a GDR postage stamp and an emergency banknote from Zeulenroda.

There was already a church here in the Middle Ages. The church in its current form dates back to the 18th century. The design of the church wall is interesting; it was covered with photographic film, but this is only noticeable at second glance.

The Evangelical Lutheran City Church of Triebes is located in the Triebes district of the city of Zeulenroda-Triebes in the Greiz district of Thuringia. The parish belongs to the Greiz church district of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany. The City Church of Triebes was built in 1716. In 1962 the chancel was redesigned. Since then the church has been a simple place of worship. A stained glass window from the past can be seen in the bright chancel. The floor in the hallway and the chancel were renovated and two gravestones were uncovered. Flute groups, children's choir, keyboard group, trombone choir and church choir perform church music.
