Beautiful estate with many elevation changes. Dogs must be kept on a leash! There are many deer here.

De Paltz is a country estate with a 77-hectare estate and nature reserve on the 'Soester berg' between Soesterberg and Soestduinen in the municipality of Soest in the province of Utrecht. The area is bordered by the Van Weerden Poelmanweg, Soester Hoogt, the Verlengde Paltzerweg, De Paltzerweg and the Heezerspoor w.z. The area consists of a park area and the area of the old sand excavation. In the park area there are lanes, a coach house, a waterfall and a guest house. The berceaus from the 19th century have been preserved. The old production forests have been replaced by various trees and shrubs. The former sand excavation is completely overgrown again.

Dear MTB riders. The description states that this route is easy for beginners (the green route), but after doing it with my son we come to the conclusion that the red route is really a lot easier. Perhaps a matter of preference, but we found the green route much harder. Lots of climbing, really lots of roots and areas with soft sand. The red route is much smoother with better transitions and therefore much easier for less experienced cyclists in our opinion.
