The Polanki nature reserve was established in 1996 to protect natural forest communities of the Carpathian beech forest. A nature and educational trail with a length of approximately 2 kilometers was created within the reserve. It is located 8 km from the center of Sanok, you can get there by car or public transport. There is tourist infrastructure on the path, including a shelter with a bonfire place and 10 thematic stops. The stops present various species of trees, birds, mushrooms, monumental firs, Carpathian beech forest and rare plant species. During the hike, it is worth paying attention to the 19th-century earthworks at stop No. 2, used for primitive oil extraction. The path can be visited all year round, but it is recommended in spring due to the flowering plants.

Driving along the asphalt road in the direction of the San River, on the section between the footbridge (Ulucz - Witryłów) and the beginning of the buildings of the village of Temeszów, in the forest section we come across a parking lot with a view of the river, which crosses the threshold at this point. When the water level is low, you can see a small island to the right of the threshold. Watch out for cars that speed up here at the sight of a longer straight. I almost witnessed an accident when such a senseless driver did not anticipate that a bus would appear around the bend and barely made it because the road had no shoulder.

How to get to Kamień Leski This one of the most recognizable natural peculiarities of the region is located at the beginning of the village of Glinne, on the route from Lesko to Ustrzyki Dolne, approximately 5 km from Lesko. You can also get here along the green trail from Lesko (Lesko - Krysowa), or from Zwierzyń through Czulnia and the Baszta bicycle path. The place is marked, there is a small parking lot next to it. Kamień Leski (approx. 410-420 m above sea level) - is an extremely original monument of inanimate nature built of Krosno sandstone. It owes its bizarre shape to nature (erosive atmospheric influences) and the inhabitants of the surrounding area. In the 19th century, stone was mined at its foot. Two deep gaps with a vertical rock wall from the side of Glinne are still visible after the former quarry. Today, overgrown with a young forest, they add a special charm to this corner.
