Local legend about stone pigs: Long ago, a poor widow from Grzybowa Góra took her two children to the famous church fair in Wąchock. The children, captivated by the numerous stalls, begged for toys, but their mother couldn't afford them. On the way back, the tired and hungry children cried loudly and complained of unfulfilled desires. Desperate and exhausted by their behavior, the mother angrily shouted for them to turn to stone, even if only for a moment. Her thoughtless words were heard by the devil, who immediately transformed the children into two boulders resembling pigs. Seeing this, the distraught woman begged that she too would suffer the same fate, which the devil so readily did. To this day, three stone boulders lie in the forest, warning children against disobedience and parents against impatience.

Polana Langiewicza is commonly regarded as a campsite for insurgent troops led by General Marian Langiewicz during the January Uprising in 1863. However, there is no evidence that the insurgents were stationed in this exact place and that General Langiewicz himself stayed there. This place was indicated by Capt. Wojdacki, writing that "there was a spring and an oak grew, where General Marjan Langiewicz sat as if on a stool". The place was marked for the first time in 1925, during the convention of veterans of the 1863 uprising. Then, after the holy mass in Wąchock, the participants of the reunion went to the clearing, where a commemorative plaque was consecrated. The plaque was made in a foundry in Skarżysko, owned by Kazimierz Jan Witwicki, son of Jan Witwicki, an insurgent. At that time, the plaque was hung on an oak - today it is hung on a pine.

That's what some people say about this place. Once, young boys had a climbing competition on a nearby high-voltage pole. One died on the spot as a result of the electrocution. There were also 2 or 3 documented suicides near the rock. There is also a steep slope and tracks below. Formerly a place where young people drank and had silly fun. Hehe these rocks have passed their time 😈
