A lovely rest stop, especially if you walk the Almenwasserweg the other way around! Otherwise, this beautiful spot is right at the beginning of the loop.

The Grebenzen is a beautiful panoramic mountain. There are several caves around the summit, in which many bat species feel comfortable. So if you stay overnight at the Dreiwiesenhütte directly below the highest point, keep your eyes open at dusk.

07/2024: Travel by car to Murauer Hut. You should be there early enough to get a spot, otherwise try a little further down at the hotel. It's 6.5km and 400m of elevation to the Frauenalpe there and back. It's easy to walk, good path. No problem with a dog either. Wonderful panorama at the top, sloping steeply to the southeast. At the end you can stop at the Murauer Hut and start the way back.

Wonderful view of the country! Ideal as a promotion destination - not overcrowded and still wonderful... or just because of that ;-)

The path around the See is not suitable for everyone: slippery, roots, flooded parts, mud, but very beautiful!

Lake Flattnitz lies like an opal in the middle of the gentle forest landscape and invites you to take a long rest on the Almenwasserweg.
