Very beautiful riverside path. Thanks to the ban on bicycles, there are no cyclists either.

In September 2026, we tackled another section of it. We started from Birrwil down by the lake, walked to Delphin and back to Birrwil by ship. It was wonderful and the crossing by ship only cost CHF 2.50 per person with Halbtax. But then we had to retrieve our car, we had no choice and had to pay the ransom!!! My darling left a fitting comment. Dreamfully beautiful area, beautiful hiking trails; a sinfully expensive parking garage at the harbor in Birrwil (5 hours CHF 35.00)

Great views of the lake at any time and again and again. The hiking trail runs almost always directly along the lake and therefore photo subjects could not be more beautiful.

I've driven past him many times and never really noticed him. Theodor Fischer was a writer, painter, and artist. He died here on the Homberg in 1925. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodor_Fischer_%28Maler%2C_1872%29?wprov=sfla1 You can find everything known about this man on Wikipedia.
