A new trail officially opened in 2025 by the RV Edelweiss Deidesheim Nature Trails. The trail has two sections. The first section is very flowy with a few roots and rocks over great, firm sand through the forest, with corners featuring berms every now and then. Well done. The second section also features jumps that you should watch out for, as they don't roll over or have a gap. With a little experience, they're easy to ride, but they can also be easily avoided. The second section features a field of rocks that less experienced riders should take a quick look at, but it's still rideable. A difficult feature is the Rock Stab, which is a variation of the trail. The rock is steep but grippy. At the end, however, you have to ease off the bike and be careful not to crash into a tree near the landing, so it's for more experienced riders than me. The actual trail continues a few meters uphill and then takes a technical, blocked, and steeper turn. While it's easy to ride, it can also be challenging for less experienced riders. The trail requires good bike control in places, but it's brilliant! A ton of fun.

The Weinbiet Tower is a historic landmark located at the top of the Weinbiet mountain range. Built from red sandstone between 1870 and 1874, the tower offers fantastic views over the Rhine plain and the Palatinate Forest.

Great to drive. Only a few big roots have to be mastered on the trail.

The trail is super fun. It gets down to business and you need a very good driving experience/safety. It gets rough, fast and sometimes tight.

The region, especially within the Pfälzerwald and along the German Wine Route, offers diverse terrain including flowy sections, technical downhill rock drops, and challenging climbs. These trails cater to various skill levels and provide an authentic riding experience through picturesque forests and vineyards.
Yes, for experienced riders seeking a challenge, the region offers technical trails. The Churchner Raw Trail is known for its technical sections, including rock rollers, steep parts, and challenging corners, with some flowy sections and optional jumps. It's rated as a black trail (S2+), suitable for those with experience in technical riding. The White Dot Trail is also described as sophisticated, featuring stones, roots, and challenging sections.
Beyond the challenging trails, popular spots include the Weinbiet Summit and Weinbiethaus, which offers trails leading to a summit with panoramic views and an excursion restaurant. The Heidenburg Trail is another beautiful natural trail, suitable even in light rain, featuring fast descents, flow, steps, and roots. The Lambitrail is a narrow trail, though not recommended for newcomers due to its roots and technical sections.
While dedicated family bike parks are not the focus, the region offers scenic cycling routes that can be enjoyed by families. The German Wine Route, for instance, provides a unique cycling experience through charming wine villages and vineyards. The Weinbiet Summit and Weinbiethaus is also listed as family-friendly, offering a destination with views and a restaurant after a ride.

Exploring some of the less-known natural trails or visiting during off-peak times (weekdays, or outside of major holiday periods) can help you find a more solitary riding experience. The region's focus on natural, sometimes 'secret' trails, suggests opportunities for more authentic and less-manicured paths away from the busiest spots.
