Located right off the trail in Panora with an interesting cycling history. Their crispy chicken was very good!! They don't offer cash back so I ran across the street to the market to get some bananas.

October 8, 2025, Raccoon River Valley Trail: Panora to Linden

A portion (or segment) of the Raccoon River Valley Trail (RRVT) between the towns of Panora and Linden in Guthrie County. There wasn't much to the town of Linden, but they were gracious enough to provide a shaded picnic area, porta potty, and various seating options. the trail links to several other multi-use pathways throughout central Iowa.

Panora: Overall, a very fun way to explore the area. The trail goes right by their grocery store, a restaurant, and the pharmacy, with signage to all the other things you might enjoy -- including the first campground since Dawson. Yale: Yales trailhead was less of a trailhead and more of a long, winding introduction. Apparently there's a bar and grill, which sounds exciting!

The only campground in town has a flat fee of $20/night for both RV and tent sites. They also have a modern bathroom sans shower, water hydrant, and some sweet views of the lake / dam. It's built on a historic site of a mill that evolved through the years before closing in 1940. Two blocks down, there's a historic town / museum with a bunch of interesting looking buildings
