An obvious objective from Kranj, Šmarjetna gora's wooded flanks rise steeply from the banks of the great River Sava in the Upper Carniola. It's named after the pretty church that crowns its summit, Sveta Marjeta (Saint Margaret). The top is also home to Hotel Bellevue, which serves food and drink.
