We're camping here tonight, too. Besides us, there's only one other camper with a caravan. The staff is very friendly, but they don't seem to promote camping here much. A beautiful and refreshing swimming lake, a bar, and a restaurant with simple (fast food) meals. I can recommend it, especially since it's the first campsite after Maribor.

It's also a great place to camp overnight, but the owners don't seem to be that well-prepared for bike campers. 😉 A good option for a stop on the leg to Maribor.

The rest table at the top of the viewing platform is also fantastic. I haven't had a break with such a perfect view in a long time.

Super cool little bar where you can drop in for a beer, wine or cocktail and enjoy the outdoor terrace in the sun while taking in the view of the Kokra Canyon. Mitnica is housed in one of Kranj's most significant historical buildings and represents an early form of a town house. The building has seen many changes throughout its history and the facade has been respectfully restored several times. You can expect friendly staff and fun times, late opening hours on weekends for those who want to party late into the night, and all just a stone's throw from the town centre.

This Buschenschank is a MUST, especially at the time of the grape harvest. The wines are very tasty and the view from here is definitely worth the visit!

Beautiful Buschenschank with a viewing tower and very important: electric charging station for the bikes.

Eibiswald is the intersection of several long-distance hiking trails. The Südalpenweg (03) runs through this place, the main route of the Carinthian Mariazellerweg and the north-south long-distance hiking trail end, and it is the starting point for the Styrian Mariazellerweg. Carl Hermann was the initiator of the north-south long-distance hiking trail.

The farm's own 360 ° panorama tower is right next to the popular Garber tavern. This means that you can first treat yourself to a few typical Styrian specialties on the sunny terrace of the Buschenschank and then enjoy the magnificent view that extends from the provincial capital Graz over Werndorf, Wildon and beautiful parts of the Demmerkogel vineyards. When the weather is particularly clear, you can even see the Riegersburg in Eastern Styria. So an ascent is worth it!
