Our favorite track from Hiiu to Stroomi. In older times a narrow-gauge railway, it is now a track to walk, bike and skate. The section before the part marked here (Nõmme-Hiiu) is on gravel, but quite ok to go with a racing bike. The track continues all the way to Harku in one direction and to Stroomi on the other.

Varbola stronghold campsite provides a few places for tents, fireplaces, toilets and drinking water well. The site is just nearby the road, easily accessible by car and has a parking lot free of charge. So it could be a drawback for those looking for a quiet place overnight. Just a few meters from another side of the road there is Varbola Stronghold itself. Historical ruins of the circular rampart fortress. https://www.loodusegakoos.ee/where-to-go/recreation-areas/the-surroundings-of-tallinn-recreation-area/varbola-stronghold-campsite
